Subtile Dualité

Ring · Pink Tourmaline & Orange Sapphire · 18ct Gold

Two opposing triangular motifs lean into one another across an open shank — each centred by a luminous pink tourmaline and framed by a glowing surround of orange sapphires, with tiny diamonds set as bright accents at the corners. Additional pink stones continue along the shoulders so the colour does not stop at the crown but travels elegantly around the hand.

The model name, Subtile Dualité — subtle duality — is particularly apt. The composition plays with dialogue rather than rigid symmetry: two geometric forms lean into one another, creating tension, movement and visual rhythm. The strong triangular architecture gives the ring graphic force, while the saturated pink-and-orange palette prevents it from ever feeling cold. Presented with its original Mauboussin case and certificate of authenticity.

House & Period
Mauboussin, founded in Paris in 1827, came into its own in the 1920s and 1930s with a highly modern language of geometry, colour and cosmopolitan elegance. This ring belongs to a coherent Subtile Dualité collection placing it most plausibly in the late 2000s to early 2010s.
