A round brilliant chrome sphene — its dispersion of 0.051 exceeding diamond, throwing simultaneous flashes of green, gold, and orange fire with every movement — held in a six-claw white gold mount at the centre of a composition inspired by the tourbillon mechanism of fine watchmaking. Two arcs of diamonds sweep in opposite directions around the stone, crossing at the bottom in a double counter-rotation: the inner arc set with round brilliants, the outer with square-cut and baguette diamonds, both flowing continuously from the head down the full length of both shoulders.
The result is a ring that appears to be in motion even when still. The stone sits at the eye of a rotation — and unlike a simple swirl, the double arc creates genuine tension, the two sweeps pulling against each other with the precision of a mechanism. The chrome sphene at the centre is the escapement: everything else exists to frame the moment when its fire appears.
